Abstract
Leshowitz and Raab (1967) suggest that detection performance remains constant when the increment energy is fixed in spite of wide variation in both signal level and duration. Extension of the observations used to support this suggestion indicate that changes in performance result from changing signal duration even when the increment energy remains constant.
