Abstract
The report describes an experimental audio teleconferencing system installed bet ween Communications Research Centre, Shirley Bay, Ottawa, and the Department of Communications Headquarters, 100 Metcalfe St., Ottawa (a separation of 12 miles) . This audio teleconferencing system is augmented by a variety of visual indicat or signals for talker identification and "wish-to-talk" and a number of graphics transmission facilities. It is being used as a research facility to determine c haracteristics of teleconferencing meetings and desirable technical characterist ics for teleconferencing systems.
