Abstract
The Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) launched the two-year project “Science-based Decontamination Guidance” in April 2013 to address key challenges arising from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) decontamination. The management of waste generated in CBRN decontamination operations is one area being addressed by this project and the creation of chemical incident liquid waste guidelines was one of the key tasks. Activities in this area are being led by the Emergencies Science and Technology Section (ESTS) of Environment Canada.
