Abstract
In April 2014 the Maritime Information Warfare (MIW) program called the Next Generation of Operational C2 Systems has been initiated. The aim of this study is to better understand the functionality of the land systems to help define the requirements of the sea system. This document contains the results of the analysis of over 200 open publications to evaluate and gain knowledge from existing modern land force systems and use that knowledge to identify successful and useful functionalities and processes that should be recommended for the successor of Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M), leading to specification of requirements for the GCCS-M replacement. These recommendations are also based on experience and knowledge gained in OODA Technologies past projects.
