Abstract
As a result of Phase 1 of contract W7714-061024/001/SV, the MATRICS traffic simulation software has been thoroughly reviewed and updated. The proposed extended functionality of the program is now implemented, improving the accessibility, efficiency and functionality offered. The first section of this report recounts the process of implementation, through the 10 programming milestone stages laid out in the definition of the work to be performed. Discussion focuses on the methods used to achieve the stated goals, the solutions chosen to address obstacles encountered, and areas of the program which may benefit from future refinement. A second part of this report discusses the new functionality added to MATRICS as a user guide. In here, the operation of the program's user interface is discussed, and the operation of the simulation is overviewed. Instructions are provided for making supplemental edits to the software.
