Abstract
CFAV Quest sea trial Q345 took place from 22 May 2012 to 5 June 2012 on the Scotian Shelf and in the Bedford Basin. The primary objectives were to test equipment for upcoming sea trials in the Arctic and the Gulf of Mexico; to trial the Directional Acoustic Sensor Module (DASM) array for the Advancing Multistatic Active Sonar Employment (AMASE) project; and to acquire underwater and in-air acoustic propagation and reverberation data. Of the twelve objectives, one was not successfully completed, and three could only be addressed in part. The remainder of the objectives were successfully completed, providing information that will be used in planning upcoming field trials.
