Abstract
The memo describes a display program which generates 3-dimensional horizon plots for the DREP extremely low frequency (ELF) study. The program (called HZNPLT) is designed to display data produced by the spectral data compression software package (see (1)). The data generated by that package consists of three types: raw spectra, cancelled spectra and noise normalized power (NNP) of cancelled spectra. The program, HZNPLT, is capable of displaying the data for one sensor for an entire noise field tape (approximately 7 hours), provided sufficient integration has been performed by the data compression software. The plots generated have generally proved to be a good display of the data. The most notable exceptions are the cases where the point to point fluctuations of the data are on the same order of magnitude as the maximum value of the plot. This produces a jumbled display as typified by a number of the NNP plots. TRUNCATED
