DEACTIVATION OF HF(v=1,2) BY FLUOROETHYLENES

Abstract
A discharge-flow-tube technique has been used to measure the deactivation of HF(v=1,2). Effective vibrational deactivation rate constants have been determined. The cross sections for the deactivation of HF(v=1) and HF(v=2) by C2H4 and the fluoroethylenes are observed to scale linearly with the number of hydrogen atoms.
