- Abstract
- Shock wave, or nonlinear instability typically found in solid propellant rocket motors with high L/D ratios is discussed. Schlieren-streak photography and chamber pressure measurements taken from a two-dimensional windowed rocket motor are reported. In an analytical model the passage of an incident shock through the combustion products is examined.
