Abstract
How much oil and gas have been found so far in the North Sea? How much more is there? What has been and will be the impact on the main political actors, i.e. Norway and Britain? When will North Sea oil run out, and what happens then? Which are the major and minor geopolitical changes of a strategic character in the North Sea? How important is this for NATO? This paper, while bringing up-to-date preliminary investigations already having been undertaken, is a first go at some of the above problems.
