- Abstract
- A new approach is presented for the study of optical systems which consist of a series of circular apertures, distributed along a gaussian laser beam. The boundary-diffraction-wave theory, which was used, leads to a simple treatment of the diffractional properties. The formulas derived find direct application in the design of cascaded-aperture focusing systems.
