Abstract
The paper analyzes the maintenance cost figures for the fleet of 5-ton trucks and predicts future costs involved in operating and maintaining the current fleet. The least squares method was used to fit several equations to the data, and the ones that fit the data collected to date best were selected. This study also applied the DND life cycle cost model to the data for the 5-ton fleet and compared the resulting cost figures with actual costs and those predicted by the least squares method.
