Abstract
The report discusses the details of a linear Acousto-optic (AOP) processing system. A linear AOP spectrum analyzer allows simultaneous detection of multiple radar signals using an integrating photo-detector array. A 512 element linear array is used as the detector on the front end of this system. These 512 pixel values are read out and digitized at a rate of one frame every 9 micro seconds. After being corrected for fixed pattern noise the pixel values are thresholded to achieve data reduction. The reduced pixel data is stored into memory along with a frame count for analysis by a computer.
