Abstract
Measurement and prediction of the drawbar performance of a BV206 All Terrain Carrier in shallow snow was carried out at CFB Cold Lake in an effort to validate a computer model known as Tracked Vehicle Performance Model (TVPM). Agreement between predicted and measured drawbar pull was achieved only above 30% slip at initial track tensions of 3.15 and 2.10 kN. Improved bevameter technique and statistical representation of snow strength properties are required in order to draw further conclusions on the predictive accuracy of TVPM.
