Abstract
A simple, inexpensive instrument for optical emission analysis of 15N has been constructed and a new sample preparation procedure for whole soils, soil fractions and plant materials has been developed. This facile procedure is based on a modified Dumas method and does not necessitate prior Kjeldahl digestion and distillation.
